1. ABOUT THIS POLICY
This Privacy Policy explains how ReVenture Studio Inc. ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares your information when you participate in the GoGettie pilot — a private, invitation-only voice-based presence app for adults.
By using GoGettie, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Services.
Pilot context. GoGettie is a pre-release product being tested with a small group of invited adults. Our data practices may change as the product develops. We will notify pilot participants of material changes.
2. WHAT WE COLLECT
2.1 Information you give us
When you accept an invitation and use GoGettie, you may provide:
- Your name (or chosen display name);
- Your phone number;
- Your email address;
- Your account password (stored hashed, not in plain text);
- A photo or avatar, if you choose to add one;
- The names and contact details of people you invite into your circle;
- Permissions you grant or revoke for other people in your circle (for example, whether they can use Urgent Reach toward you);
- Any feedback, bug reports, or messages you send to us.
2.2 Voice and audio data — the core of how GoGettie works
GoGettie is a voice-based app. When you send a voice message, start a Stay With Me or Walk With Me session, or use Urgent Reach:
- Your microphone is accessed only when you actively initiate a recording or session;
- Audio is transmitted from your device to our cloud infrastructure (currently Google Firebase) over an encrypted connection;
- Audio is stored on our infrastructure long enough to deliver it and to support replay by both you and the other person in the session;
- Audio is delivered to the recipients you select, and to you, for replay.
Walk With Me captures extended-duration audio. A Walk With Me session can record continuously for as long as the session is active, in segments that are uploaded as the session proceeds. Be aware of who and what your microphone may capture during these sessions, including ambient audio and the voices of people who are not in your circle.
Symmetric retention — both parties see and control session audio. By default, audio from any session (voice message, Stay With Me, Walk With Me, Urgent Reach) is automatically deleted from our servers 72 hours after the session ends, unless you or the other party explicitly chooses to preserve it. Either party can delete the audio at any time; deletion propagates to both sides and to our storage. Neither party can produce a hidden or one-sided recording — this is an architectural property of the system, not an honor-system promise.
No voice biometrics. We do not create voiceprints, run speaker identification, or use your voice recordings to train machine-learning models during the pilot.
No third-party AI processing of audio content. We do not send the contents of your voice audio to third-party AI services for transcription, analysis, or any other processing during the pilot. If this changes, we will notify pilot participants in advance.
What you should not send. Because audio can include any spoken content, please do not transmit through GoGettie any sensitive personal information (SSN, financial account details, passwords, detailed health information) that you would not want stored on a cloud service.
2.3 Session metadata
In addition to audio, we collect and retain metadata about your sessions, including:
- Who initiated each session and who received it;
- Start time, end time, and duration;
- Type of session (voice message, Stay With Me, Walk With Me, Urgent Reach);
- Delivery status (delivered, failed, blocked because the recipient disabled the feature);
- For Urgent Reach events specifically: whether the alert was delivered and the rate-limit status.
Session metadata is visible to both participants in the session (per our symmetric-artifact design). We retain metadata logs for our own diagnostic and abuse-investigation purposes for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
2.4 Automatically collected information
We automatically collect:
- Device information (device type, operating system, app version);
- Approximate location (derived from IP address — not precise GPS);
- Log data (timestamps, error reports, crash logs, basic usage events);
- Device battery level and charging state — only when you allow us to share this with other members of your circle (a transparency feature so they can see if your device may not be available, similar to how a low-battery status is shown on iOS Find My).
We do not collect precise GPS location during the pilot. Walk With Me is an audio accompaniment feature, not a location-sharing feature.
2.5 Device permissions
GoGettie requests:
- Microphone — required to record voice audio. Used only when you initiate a recording or session.
- Notifications — required to deliver presence updates and to receive Urgent Reach alerts.
- Critical alert entitlement (iOS) — optional. Required for Urgent Reach to bypass your Do Not Disturb. You can revoke this at any time in iOS Settings.
You can revoke any of these through your device settings. Revoking may break parts of the app.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use what we collect to:
- Operate GoGettie — authenticate you, deliver audio between you and the people in your circle, run the presence-resolution engine, run Stay With Me and Walk With Me sessions, deliver Urgent Reach alerts;
- Maintain, troubleshoot, debug, and improve the service;
- Communicate with you about the pilot (status updates, technical notices, requests for feedback);
- Detect, investigate, and prevent abuse, fraud, harassment, or violations of our Acceptable Use Policy — including investigating reports of Urgent Reach misuse or non-consensual recording;
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your audio or session content to train AI models. We do not serve advertising. There is no advertising in GoGettie during the pilot.
4. WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH
4.1 Other people in your circle
When you send a voice message or start a session with another GoGettie user, that user receives the audio and the session metadata. They can play it back, save it locally on their device, and may attempt to share it outside GoGettie even though our terms forbid it. Once you send audio to another person, that person has it. Use good judgment about what you send and to whom.
4.2 Service providers
We share information with vendors that help us operate the pilot:
- Google Firebase (Google LLC) — backend infrastructure, authentication, database, cloud storage (audio and session data), and cloud functions (Urgent Reach delivery, session lifecycle). All data is stored in Google's U.S. infrastructure.
- Apple Push Notification Service / Google FCM — push notification delivery (including Urgent Reach alerts).
- Email service provider — for pilot updates and account-related emails.
Vendors process information on our behalf under contractual obligations. We do not authorize them to use your personal information for their own purposes.
4.3 Legal and safety disclosures
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith it's necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law, regulation, court order, or lawful government request;
- Investigate and respond to abuse, harassment, fraud, or policy violations (including reports that Urgent Reach is being used to harass someone, or that Walk With Me is being used to surveil someone);
- Protect the rights, safety, or property of GoGettie, our users, or the public.
4.4 Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify pilot users in advance.
5. HOW WE PROTECT INFORMATION
We take reasonable measures to protect what we collect:
- Encryption in transit (TLS) between your device and our servers;
- Encryption at rest on Firebase infrastructure;
- Access controls limiting which team members can access user data;
- Password hashing (we do not store passwords in plain text);
- Architectural prohibition of silent or one-sided recordings — there is no version of the system that produces audio only one party can see.
Honest acknowledgment: no system is perfectly secure, especially a pilot. We will notify you of any incident that affects your data.
6. HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION
- Account information — while your account is active, and for a short period after you delete it or we terminate it.
- Session audio (voice messages, Stay With Me, Walk With Me, Urgent Reach) — 72 hours after the session ends by default, or until deleted by you or the other party, whichever comes first. You can shorten or extend this in your settings.
- Session metadata — up to 12 months for our diagnostic and abuse-investigation purposes, then deleted or anonymized.
- Urgent Reach event logs — retained at least long enough to enforce the rate limit and visible to both parties, then subject to the 12-month limit above.
- Logs and diagnostic data — up to 90 days, then deleted or anonymized.
- Information we are legally required to retain — for the period required by law.
When the pilot ends, we will either delete pilot user data or, if you transition to a future product version, retain it under updated terms we'll share with you.
7. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
You can:
- Access or update your information by editing your account settings or contacting us.
- Delete a session you participated in (voice message, Stay With Me, Walk With Me, or Urgent Reach). Deletion propagates to the other party.
- Turn off any inbound feature — Urgent Reach, Walk With Me, or any presence-based capability — at any time. The other party will not be told whether you disabled it or whether it was never enabled.
- Delete your account by emailing us. We will delete account data within 30 days, except information legally required to retain or needed to resolve an open issue.
- Withdraw from the pilot at any time by uninstalling and deleting your account.
- Adjust device permissions (microphone, notifications, critical alert) through your device settings.
- Panic exit — in one action, remove yourself from all circles and clear locally stored artifacts.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Colorado Privacy Act, Virginia CDPA, and similar U.S. state laws. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
8. CHILDREN
GoGettie is for adults only during the pilot. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a minor is using GoGettie, please contact us immediately.
9. INTERNATIONAL USERS
GoGettie is operated from the United States, and all data is stored in the United States. If you are outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your home country.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. For material changes, we will notify pilot participants. Continued use means you accept the updated Policy.
